Ten years ago, a tree fell naturally in the grounds of Montrose. Rather than let it go to waste, we had it milled locally and left it to air dry naturally at home — patient, unhurried, the way good things should be.
The result is this: a solid oak end grain chopping board with a story rooted in the land it came from. The end grain construction gives each board its striking, tactile pattern while protecting your knife edges — the wood fibres part as the blade passes through, then close back up.
Because this timber comes from a single tree, every board is truly one of a kind. Once they're gone, they're gone.
